We are​ pleased to announce the IDEA 2026 Book Award, which will be granted at the 2026 International IDEA Conference.

​

We invite submissions of single-authored scholarly monographs in the field of English literary and cultural studies, either specifically or comparatively. The award aims to celebrate academic excellence and original contribution to the field.

 

For the eligibility criteria, please refer to the file below this announcement. 

​

The deadline for submissions is 30 November 2025.

​

Submissions should be emailed to: mehmet.celikel@marmara.edu.tr

Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

​

The final decision will be ratified at the 2026 IDEA General Board Meeting, and the winner will be announced at the closing session of the 2026 IDEA International Conference. The recipient will also receive a monetary award.

The Theatre and Drama Network invites proposals for its third international conference titled Living on the Edge: Chaos in Theatre, Film and Performance, to be held online from 5 to 7 December 2025 via Zoom.

​

They welcome scholarly contributions from academics, postgraduate researchers, artists, and practitioners that explore the intersections of chaos and performance. Papers may examine any genre, period, or cultural context. Interdisciplinary approaches—particularly those bridging theatre and performance with adaptation studies, philosophy, feminist and postcolonial theory, ecocriticism, film studies, or digital/post/trans humanities—are especially encouraged.

Overtones Ege Journal of English Studies welcomes research articles and reviews related to all subjects in the field of  English Language and Literature. The journal is an international, double-blind peer reviewed journal which offers open access to all. The scope of the journal covers theoretical, critical and thematic contexts regarding English Studies, including English literature, linguistics, translation, cultural studies and all other related subjects. Authors are to submit complete, original and full length articles (4000-8000 words) and reviews (1000-2000 words) which have not been published or under evaluation elsewhere. Please use the submission template uploaded on the journal website before sending the article for submission. All articles will be scanned for plagiarism via Ithenticate. If any instances of plagiarism are found during any of the stages of publication (reviewer evaluation, editorial reading and typesetting) the article will be rejected and the author will be notified immediately. Citation manipulated articles, or in other words, articles that are submitted to increase the citation number of a specific author will be rejected directly. 

Overtones Ege Journal of English Studies is currently indexed in MLA and ERIHPLUS and under evaluation for TR Dizin.

You are all invited to submit paper presentations to the 11th International Conference on Language, Literature & Culture, organized jointly by Batman University, Çankaya University, University of Prešov, Slovakia, and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, and hosted by Batman University (Türkiye). This international conference is a peer-reviewed academic event and a comprehensive venue for the free exchange and dissemination of ideas on language, translation, literary and cultural studies, and aims to bring together scholars and graduates researching the intersections of these fields. The 11th LLC will be held as a hybrid conference, run in cooperation with the Department of Western Languages and Literatures and the School of Foreign Languages at Batman University, on October 17–18, 2025, in Batman, Turkey. The main theme of the conference is “Humanities in the Digital Age”.
